2026 NSW Hobie 14, Women Youth & Rookie State Titles | Entries Open

It has been three long year’s since the Hobie Class hit the waters of Awabakal Country for a State Championships, and what better way to return to the beloved location of Wangi Wangi.

This stand along State Championships will be the sixth round of the NSW Traveller Series and a Title event for the H14 cat-rig, H16 & H18 Youth, Womens and Rookie Divisions, along with the Hobie Waves and Dragoons. As this is a stand alone Hobie regatta, all Hobie Cats are welcome to come and along have spend a glorious weekend with the Hobie Family.

Home to some of the most infamous Hobie Sailors known to mankind, Wangi RSL Amateur Sailing Club has a very deep history within the Hobie Class. Taking place valentines weekend, the Wangi Pub, RSL and more are set to welcome the Hobie Family on Lake Macquarie for a sensational weekend of catamaran racing.

Three years ago, the Hobie fleet visited Wangi Wangi for H14, Women & Youth States four weeks after the 50th Hobie Cat Nationals. We are looking forward to a number of boats joining us to celebrate Hobie sailing on Lake Mac once again.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

• Hobie 16 & Hobie 18s will racing on yardstick for the Youth/Womens/Rookie State Championship.
• Entries are OPEN to non-Youth/Womens/Rookie teams in the Hobie 16/18s.

MINIMUM CREW WEIGHT:

• For Hobie 16/18 Women & Youth Divisions, the minimum crew weight is: 118.2 kg
• Dragoons: 80 kg
• Waves: 54.43 kg

Charter Boats
