Day 1 . . . Early Morning Easterly The easterly has been
blowing all nite & @ 6.30 am it's 12 -15 from 80 . . .
First start @ 11am . . . hopefully it will have made up
it's mind by then! The first day of 2010 . . . a few
sore heads . . . a cruisy time @ MOFSC. A few
competitors . . . ones who hadn't sailed Series One . .
. tried out the seabreeze. Some handled it . . . others
?????

Series 1 - Day 3 PM Report: A bit of a
wait for the seabreeze . . . saw an attempt to use the
easterly . . . by race time it had faded away to almost
nothing . . . A GOOD SIGN! . . . the seabreeze should be
in earlier! Up anchour & downwind for a mile & 1/2 & a
start in a building seabreeze by 11.30 . . . 18 KTS half
way thru & it was on again!
Two more races in 18 to 20 with
abuilding sea provided lots of action @ the mark
roundings . . . & that's it for Series One.
Congratulations to all the
winners!!!!
Series 1 - Day 3:
December 31, 2009 Series 1 - Final Day: 6.45am .
. . 95 degrees (wind direction) @ 12 -16 . . . were in
for that dreaded easterly for awhile . . . then the
forcast is threatening a seabreeze later . . . when it
feels like it. At least someone took the bumps out of
the ocean last nite!

Series 1 - Day 2:
December 30, 2009
PM Report - Racing
close to shore . . . 15 to 22 knots . . . sunny & hot
& no flies!!! . . . 22 to 30 out wide . . . sunny & hot
& also no flies!!! . . . 4 great races . . . places
start to get sorted! In the Youth H16's . . .
Victorians Chris & James Wierzbowski hold a 2 point
lead over joint 2nd place teams . . . WA's Alex
Landwehr/Jason Dobson & Qld's Brendan Effeney/Nick
Sommerfield.
The three WA Women's Teams have only
a 5 point spread . . . with Emma Sturgeon & Josie Mark
leading the pack.
Robbie Lovig & Lachlan Gibson lead
the Tigers on a countback from Taylor Booth & Ryan
Duffield . . . despite Booth's acrobatic efforts @ the
second last gate rounding in race 5.
Kerli & Ali Corlett in the Fossil Cup
& Anthony Duchatel & Ejay Schaffer in the Masters (both
from the Pittwater Catamaran Club) . . . hold the lead
in the 'Old Fart' divisions!

Series 1 - Day 1:
December 29, 2009
Lets ease into this . . . . A lite SE breeze tempted the RC into one race @ 11.30 . . . then back to the beach for an extended lunch. The seabreeze finally came in . . . race 2 @ 3.20 . . . then a back 2 back which failed miserably . . . when the wind went away! Towing 101 & all boats back on shore . . . shortly after 6pm . . . fortunately the club extended happy hour . . . now off to Hoggies! (It's 8.30 pm . . . wind??? . . . 260 @ 18 to 24 . . . tough day coming up tomorrow!!!)
