The NSW Hobie Cat Association, in conjunction with the Vincentia Sailing Club, will be holding a Training & Development weekend during the first weekend in December. With the VSC hosting some of the best Hobie 14 sailors in the world, and the Australian Championships just over a month away, there’s no better time to hang out with the Hobie Family. Details are as follows:
Friday 1st December
- 1500hrs – Free Sailing
Saturday 2nd December
- 1000hrs – Rigging and tuning session w/ Paddy & MB.
- 1200hrs – Boat handling practice (speed, tacks, gybes, mark-rounding) on the water including mock, short-course racing.
- 1700hrs – Racing tactics and Hobie racing theory session w/ Paddy & MB.
- 1800hrs – BYO dinner at the VSC Clubhouse.

Sunday 3rd December
- 0930hrs – Rigging for VSC’s Single-Handed Club Championship.
- 1030hrs – Short-course racing, session one.
- 1200hrs – Lunch.
- 1300hrs – Short-course racing, session two.
- 1430hrs – Post-racing de-brief.

This event will be open to ALL Hobie Sailors, providing the opportunity for all our mighty mariners to gain some solid fleet racing experience during the off season, on a budget.
Some say it’s the greatest place in Australia to sail Hobie Cats. While some even consider it to be the most extraordinary in the world. The only way to truly find out is to journey on over to the epicentre that is Plantation Point, tucked away in the heart of Jervis Bay, to whole-heartedly embrace the raw potential of the North-Easterly Sea Breeze.
